    Reports to:Director, Mid-Level Giving

    Position Overview

    NYPR isseekinga highly organized, personable, and motivated Mid-Level Giving Associate who is eager to build a career in fundraising and donor engagement.

    The Mid-Level Giving Associate plays an essential role in supporting NYPR's mid-level donor program, which focuses on cultivating, stewarding, and upgrading individual donors making significant annual contributions. This role provides critical donor-facing, administrative, and data support that enables the program tooperateefficiently, thoughtfully, and at scale.

    This position is ideal for someone with 1-2years of experience in development or customer-facing work who is excited about learning how donorprogramsfunction, values strong systems and follow-through, and brings a donor-centered mindset to their work.

    The Associatereports tothe Director of Mid-Level Giving and collaborates acrossthe Development Team.

    Responsibilities

    Donor Engagement & Stewardship Support

    1, Supporta timely,accurate, and thoughtful donor acknowledgement process, ensuring mid-level donors are thanked and welcomed in ways that reflect NYPR's values and donor-centered approach.

    2. Serve as a point of contact for mid-level donors via phone and email,staff concierge hotlines, andrespond todonorinquiriesand account questions.

    3. Assistwith the preparation and execution of donor stewardship and cultivation activities, including events and small group gatherings.

    Program & Campaign Support

    1. Provide logistical support for mid-level giving campaigns, includingrenewal and upgrade appeals viadirect mailandemail.

    2. Projectmanagea multi-channel communications schedule, keepingcampaigns and outreach efforts on trackwith internal and external stakeholders.

    3, Partnerwith Development Operationson developingquality assurance processestomaintaindata integrity and improvedonor segmentation.

    4. Run basic reports to support program analysis and decision-making.

    5. Track departmental expenses andassistwith invoice processing.

    6. Provideoperational support as neededtoenable the Mid-Level GivingTeamto focus on strategy, donor relationships, and revenue growth.

    Professional Growth & Learning

    1. Develop a working understanding of mid-level donor strategies, stewardship best practices, and fundraising operations.

    2. Gain exposure to donor communications, campaign planning, and cross-functional collaboration within a complex development operation.

    3. Contribute ideas and observations that help improve systems, processes, and donor experience over time.

    Qualifications

    1, 1-2years of experience in fundraising, development operations, administration,ora customer-facing role.

    2. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (including pivot tables), PowerPoint, andOutlook.

    3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the abilitytomanagemultiple tasks and deadlines.

    4. Comfort working with databases and spreadsheets; Salesforcepreferred butnotrequired.

    5. Experience with email systems and digitalcommunicationsa plus.

    6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    7. Professional, warm, and donor-centered approach to work.

    8. Ability to effectively solve problems as issues arise withinthe scopeof work.

    9. Demonstrated interest in building a career in development or nonprofitmanagement.

    10.Ability toworkoccasional evenings or weekends for donor events.

    11.Passion for public media and commitment to NYPR's mission.

Additional Information

  • This is a full-time role with an annual salary range of $55,000.00 - $60,000.00. Salary offered within this range is determined by skills, experience, and organizational pay equity. New York Public Radio offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with vacation time, personal days, sick time, and parental leave.

This is a hybrid position; Individuals are expected to be in the office two days a week. New York Public Radio is located in Lower Manhattan on specified days.
