Mid-Level Space Vehicle Engineer Analyst

Company:

The Boeing Company

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Mid-Level Space Vehicle Engineer Analyst (Level 3) to join our team in Aurora, Colorado.

This position will be responsible for health and safety of space vehicles (SV), subsystem analysis, and implementation and verification of specific products loaded to the Space Vehicle.

Specialized training will be provided on necessary skills for ground and Space Vehicle configuration management. Required certifications will be earned though on-the-job (OJT) training and self-study during allotted on-the-job time.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure integrity of the ground system and command path in support of the mission

  • Use Microsoft-Windows or UNIX based computers for the development of the operational plan and analysis of data collected in support of planning future contacts or anomaly resolution

  • Coordinate with management and peers to ensure integrity of operational products including procedures, tools, detailed event logging, and system configuration

  • Analyze technical data and verify and sustain specific system configuration in accordance with defined parameters and operational requirements

  • Monitor system performance and control system elements by initiating change commands to the system configuration to achieve mission objectives

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Able to complete the Space Vehicle Certification program (Post Start), for continued employment, which requires a combination of self-study - on-the-job time allotted - and on-the-job (OJT) training

  • Ability to support after-hours deployments and rotational on-call

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Classroom or work-related experience with aerospace or electrical engineering vehicles
