Talon Hiring Solutions is partnering with a growing engineering and infrastructure organization to identify Civil Engineers at multiple experience levels to support the planning, design, and execution of complex infrastructure, industrial, utility, and site development projects.

This opportunity is ideal for engineers with experience in site development, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility infrastructure, and construction support. Whether you are an emerging engineer ready for increased responsibility or a seasoned professional looking to lead projects and mentor teams, this role offers excellent growth potential and exposure to impactful projects from concept through construction.

What You'll Do

  • Develop civil engineering designs for infrastructure, industrial, utility, and site development projects.
  • Prepare site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, stormwater management plans, and utility infrastructure designs.
  • Perform engineering calculations related to: 
    • Hydrology and hydraulics
    • Drainage system design
    • Stormwater management
    • Earthwork quantities
    • Utility systems
    • Site development improvements
  • Develop construction drawings, technical specifications, reports, studies, and engineering documentation.
  • Support projects through planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and project closeout phases.
  • Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and project management teams.
  • Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
  • Review survey, geotechnical, environmental, and permitting information to support design development.
  • Assist with permitting efforts and regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Review contractor submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and construction documentation.
  • Conduct site visits, field assessments, and project evaluations.
  • Support construction activities and assist in resolving field issues.
  • Identify risks, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical engineering solutions.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Senior-level candidates may provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and manage project deliverables.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 312+ years of civil engineering experience supporting infrastructure, industrial, utility, commercial, energy, or large-scale site development projects.
  • EIT certification preferred for junior and mid-level candidates.
  • PE license preferred for experienced and senior-level candidates.
  • Experience with: 
    • Site development design
    • Grading and drainage
    • Stormwater management
    • Underground utilities
    • Civil construction support
    • Engineering calculations and technical reporting
  • Working knowledge of civil engineering standards, regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Proficiency with: 
    • AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • AutoCAD
    • Bluebeam
    • Microsoft Office
  • Experience with GIS, MicroStation, or hydraulic modeling software is a plus.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
