Job description

All Colorado Trucks and Trailers are seeking a full time Truck & Semi-Trailer Service Technician to join our team at our growing Denver, Colorado location. We provide sales and service for all truck and trailer needs. Our services include trailer repairs, mechanical repairs, electrical repairs, brakes, suspensions, welding & fabrication and so much more! The primary role of this position will be to repair or replace damaged parts to factory and dealership specifications. Join our team today with an updated resume!

What youโ€™ll be doing:

  • Perform DOT inspections on semi-trailers by DOT standards
  • Perform PDIโ€™s on new equipment
  • Accurately diagnose and repair 12-volt electrical systems
  • Diagnose root causes of failures
  • Perform repairs and refurbishment on but not limited to: Landoll trailers, end dumps, side dumps, belly dumps, tandem dumps, live bottom belt trailers, car haulers, 2 and 3 axle equipment trailers, lowboys (both folding neck and detachable), dry vans, box trucks with lift gates, as well as flat bed and step deck trailers
  • Basic to advanced welding and fabrication using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW-G welding processes on steel and MIG welding aluminum
  • Perform service calls as needed at customers yards (no roadside calls) in company supplied and tooled service truck
  • Maintain clean work environment
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

What you need to be successful:

  • 5+ years' related work experience
  • Experience with hydraulic systems, air brake and ABS system diagnostics and repairs
  • 3G and 4G weld test on steel and aluminum
  • Experience using plasma cutters and Oxy/fuel torches for cutting and heating
  • Experience moving trailers on yard and in shop with hostler
  • Represent yourself and our company in a positive manner
  • Self-motivated
  • Perform high quality work and repairs
  • Clean MVR
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Seek feedback and continued self-improvement
  • Share your knowledge and skills with the service team
  • Strong attention to detail & problem-solving skills
