Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Weld

Location: Davenport, IA 52809
Shift: 3rd Shift
• 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• Overtime required
• Weekend support may be required based on production needs
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate, and support manufacturing engineering projects and processes.
• Develop and improve manufacturing methods, process flows, and production systems.
• Support production operations through process implementation and troubleshooting.
• Assist in designing, testing, and validating engineering solutions.
• Coordinate activities with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Identify process improvements and support change management initiatives.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation and standards.
• Participate in project development, execution, and continuous improvement activities.
Production Support:
• Troubleshoot MES systems and manufacturing processes.
• Support manual and automated welding operations.
• Train operators on manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Investigate and resolve production-related issues.
• Document work activities, corrective actions, and process improvements.
• Follow up on work tickets and production support requests.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or production engineering environments.
• Knowledge of manual and robotic welding systems.
• Fanuc robotic welding experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot automated and manual manufacturing processes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in team environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Skills:
• MES (Manufacturing Execution System) experience.
• Welding process knowledge and production support experience.
• Experience with process development, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Experience:
• Manufacturing engineering or production support experience preferred.
• Entry to mid-level candidates with relevant education and practical experience will be considered.
