Position Summary
In this role, you will provide advanced technical analysis and Java web development for complex enterprise IT projects and consult on technical design and application support issues.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • providing enterprise leadership and technical expertise in the evaluation, adaptation, implementation and use of new web development tools, frameworks, methodologies, and architectures
  • facilitating quality through code and design reviews
  • providing developers and project teams application development support, 4th level troubleshooting and escalation support
  • working with division customers, IT managers, application developers and vendors to collaborate and to develop cross-functional business solutions
  • leading efforts in the formulation of policy, standards, procedures, and guidelines for web application development

Salary Information
This position is in schedule-range (07-32) with an annual salary of $104,000 - $120,640 (or $50 - $58 per hour), plus excellent benefits . A twelve-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
Job Details

Qualifications
A qualified candidate must detail having experience in all of the following in order to be considered:
  • Significant professional experience performing application development using various methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, etc.) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Significant technical consultation experience (analyzing business/user requirements to recommend solutions for application development/enhancements)
  • Significant experience working in a technical leadership role leading an application development team
In addition to having all of the above criteria, a highly qualified candidate will also detail having experience with one or more of the following:
  • Developing, testing, and/or deploying robust Java applications using industry-leading technologies and coding standards.
  • Reviewing business requirements and translating them into technical requirements.
