Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer with 8+ years of Java development experience to support Correspondence Redesign releases and Change Requests. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, J2EE, SQL, unit testing, accessibility testing, and Azure DevOps, along with the ability to provide technical leadership and support application delivery activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Java development activities supporting Correspondence Redesign releases and Change Requests
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise Java applications
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
• Develop and maintain application components using Java and J2EE technologies
• Design and optimize SQL queries and database interactions
• Develop and execute comprehensive unit tests to ensure application quality
• Perform accessibility testing and address application accessibility requirements
• Troubleshoot application issues and perform root cause analysis
• Support release planning, deployment, validation, and production support activities
• Manage and track development activities using Azure DevOps
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, architects, and project stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development team members
• Support Change Requests and ensure timely delivery of enhancements and fixes
Required Skills:
• 8+ years of professional Java development experience
• Strong experience with Java and J2EE technologies
• Strong SQL development and database experience
• Hands on experience with unit testing
• Experience with accessibility testing and accessibility compliance
• Experience supporting enterprise application development and maintenance
