Job description

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Application Support / Systems Programmer with strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and enterprise scheduling tools. The ideal candidate will have expert-level hands-on experience supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing large-scale mainframe applications and batch processing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, enhance, and support mainframe applications using COBOL.
  • Create, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize JCL for batch processing and production workloads.
  • Work extensively with DB2 for database access, SQL queries, program integration, troubleshooting, and performance-related activities.
  • Monitor and manage enterprise scheduling and batch job processing.
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents, job failures, abends, and data-related issues.
  • Analyze application and system issues and provide timely resolution in accordance with established SLAs.
  • Support production deployments, application releases, and change management activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring production issues.
  • Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, database, and operations teams.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge-sharing activities.

  • SAS Good to know.
