Functional Testing
Role Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Functional Tester to validate application functionality against business requirements and ensure high-quality software releases.
The role involves hands-on manual testing, test design, execution, defect management, and close collaboration with business analysts, developers, and automation teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories
Design and execute functional, regression, smoke, and system test cases
Validate application behavior across UI, backend, and integrations
Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools such as Jira, ALM
Perform end-to-end business process testing across multiple systems
Participate in Sprint ceremonies (refinement, planning, stand-ups, reviews)
Support UAT cycles by coordinating with business stakeholders
Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects
Execute regression testing during sprint releases and major deployments
Contribute to test summary reports and release readiness assessments
Follow QA standards, processes, and defined test strategies
Required Skills Experience:
3-8 years of experience in Functional Manual Testing
Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
Experience testing web-based and legacy applications
Ability to create clear, structured test cases from requirements
Hands-on experience with AgileScrum methodologies
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools Jira, HP ALM, TestRail (or equivalent)
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
