Job description

The Select Group is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join a growing technology team. This role is ideal for developers who enjoy working across both front-end and back-end technologies while helping modernize and enhance an enterprise eCommerce platform.
The team is focused on improving an existing application today while driving a long-term transformation from a monolithic architecture to a scalable microservices-based environment. We are looking for developers who bring strong technical expertise, innovative thinking, and a passion for solving complex business problems.
Must Have Skills:
  • Minimum 3 years of full stack development experience.
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript and React.
  • Strong back-end development experience with Java and Spring Boot..
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including:
    • PostgreSQL
    • MongoDB
    • Other NoSQL databases
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (experience with AWS or Google Cloud is also acceptable).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and deliver high-quality solutions.

Plus Skills:
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
  • Experience developing or supporting eCommerce applications.
  • Understanding of the end-to-end customer journey within digital commerce.
  • Experience working with both monolithic and microservices architectures.
  • Experience participating in application modernization or cloud migration initiatives

Day to Day
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack web applications.
  • Build responsive user interfaces using JavaScript and React.
  • Translate UX/UI designs from Figma into reusable React components while collaborating closely with the UX design team.
  • Develop and enhance back-end services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Design and maintain APIs and integrate with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Support enhancements to an existing eCommerce platform while contributing to future platform modernization initiatives.
  • Participate in cloud migration efforts and application deployments using Microsoft Azure (or comparable cloud platforms).
  • Contribute to architectural discussions around transitioning from a monolithic application to a microservices architecture.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and recommend scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, UX, QA, and Architecture throughout the software development lifecycle.
