MUMPS (M Language) is a specialized programming language and database technology used primarily in core banking, healthcare, and other high-volume transaction systems. At FIS, it is commonly used in the Profile Core Banking platform, which handles critical banking operations such as customer accounts, deposits, loans, and transactions.
How to Identify the Right Candidate
Look for candidates who have experience with:
  • MUMPS (M Language) development
  • FIS Profile Core Banking platform
  • PSL (Profile Scripting Language), an extension of MUMPS used within Profile
  • Banking domain knowledge (deposits, loans, payments, customer accounts)
  • Production support, enhancements, and maintenance of core banking applications
