The Sonography Department at St. Catherine University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor in Sonography - Echocardiography.
The Adjunct Instructor will:
  • Teach courses, as needed, in the Sonography curriculum.
  • Provide career and additional mentorship to students
  • Strengthen the preparation of future sonographers
  • Provide feedback to the program director(s) on needed improvements and strengths of courses and student preparation

The Sonography department is part of the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health Sciences (HSSHS). The Sonography Department at St. Catherine University is one of only two universities in the Upper Midwest to offer a Bachelor of Science degree in sonography. St. Catherine University specializes in educating health care professionals and has an outstanding reputation in the healthcare community as the metro area's leading healthcare educator. The Sonography Program also has an extensive clinical network where students will gain training in real-world environments. With 19 degree programs and approximately 100 faculty, the HSSHS is the largest of St. Kate's three schools. Degrees are offered to students at all levels, from the associate to the doctoral level. The school is distinguished by programs' shared focus on ecological approaches to health, intercultural competency, and interprofessional collaboration. The Institute of Simulation and Interprofessional Learning (I-SAIL) provides resources and expertise to support the development and implementation of high-impact educational activities within HSSHS and the School of Nursing.

Applicants are asked to identify courses of interest in their cover letter. The Sonography Department will review applications as they are received. Applicants need to apply by August 7th for consideration to teach fall courses and by December 1st for consideration to teach spring courses.

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
