The opportunity

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Design Engineer with field experience to work out of our Sugar Grove, IL plant. This is an in-person position.

We are looking for motivated self-starters to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:
  • Produce, review, and update mechanical designs and drawings in accordance with required specifications, standards, customer comments, and internal design models
  • Design and implement automated systems for use in diverse manufacturing and production environments
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of the machine design process, from planning and design to testing and implementation
  • Lead collaborative discussions between leadership and key stakeholders to determine automation capabilities and goals
  • Maintain customer correspondence including approvals, changes, agreements and transmittals
  • Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades
  • Other engineering/manufacturing related tasks as deemed appropriate by management
Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and time management skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge
  • Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software
  • Background in automation engineering
Minimum Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology (or similar related degree)
  • 3 - 5 years related job experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Proficient with MS Office, SolidWorks (2025)
  • Must have the ability to measure and model new and existing mechanical components
  • Be U.S. work authorized. No VISA sponsorship is available for this role.
