Job description

Who We Are

We're building the future of space access by designing and delivering high-performance satellite platforms that scale from early demonstration missions to full constellations. Our integrated bus-and-payload approach gives customers a faster, more reliable path from concept to orbit. If you're passionate about precision engineering and want your work to fly-literally-we'd love to meet you.

Who You Are

As an Electrical Engineer at Eclipse Space Technologies Corporation, you'll own the architecture, design, and delivery of critical electronics that enable communication and coordination between all satellite subsystems - including computing, networking, and ADCS. You will lead efforts across the full hardware development lifecycle-from system-level design and schematic capture to PCB development, bring-up, and verification.

Your role will also involve deep engagement with cross-system requirements, component selection, and integration strategies to ensure robust, reliable performance. You'll troubleshoot complex hardware issues, define test strategies, and guide designs through production, qualification, and flight readiness.

Beyond technical execution, you'll play a key role in driving cross-functional alignment across disciplines-including mechanical, software, and systems engineering-to ensure your hardware supports and accelerates overall mission success.

What You'll Do
  • Rapidly develop high-reliability electronics for satellites.
  • Drive system trades, requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, hardware bring-up, debugging, documentation, manufacturing, test, and on-orbit performance of complex electrical designs.
  • Support environmental and functional testing of subsystems (e.g., TVAC, vibe, etc.) to correlate models for all satellite mission environments.
  • Work closely with engineers from adjacent disciplines (mechanical, thermal, software, test engineering, supply chain, RF communications, EPS, etc.) to deliver tightly integrated, high-performance hardware.
  • Define and lead qualification and lifetime testing at the component, subsystem, and vehicle levels, ensuring performance and reliability across all phases of development.
  • Interface with suppliers and manufacturers to deliver production-ready hardware - some travel may be required.
What You Bring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with full-cycle electronics hardware design and development of new hardware products, ideally for aerospace or other high-reliability environments.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing mixed-signal, high-speed digital circuit boards involving:
    • FPGAs, microcontrollers, DDR4/LPDDR4 memory
    • Multi-GHz SerDes (e.g., Ethernet, PCIe)
    • Power supplies (DC-DC converters, LDOs)
    • ADCs/DACs, op-amps, and precision analog components
    • I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, and GPIO interfaces
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, iterative development environment
  • Proficiency in at least one schematic/layout tool (e.g., Altium, Xpedition, etc.).
  • Skilled in lab bring-up and debugging tools: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, etc.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of radiation effects and degradation of electronic components in space environments.
  • Familiarity with spaceflight qualification standards (e.g., ECSS, NASA-STD, MIL-STD, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Python and C/C++ for test automation or embedded bring-up.

ITAR Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by U.S. export control laws (e.g., U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) and eligible to work on ITAR-regulated projects.
What We Offer

Why Join Us

  • Work on spacecraft systems that will fly in space
  • Directly influence the design of a scalable satellite platform
  • Take ownership of high-impact subsystems in a collaborative, cross-functional team
  • Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and full benefits
  • Early-stage environment with significant upside and growth opportunities

Compensation

Pay Range: $130,000.00 - $175,000.00 / year

Your final level and starting salary will be individually assessed and may differ depending on factors such as relevant skills and expertise, educational background, and professional experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total compensation package. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, dental coverage, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance and 401k contributions . Additionally, we have unlimited time off, along with 10 or more paid holidays per year.
