As an Azure/Databricks Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable Azure and Databricks environments that support analytics, AI, and enterprise data transformation. This role combines cloud infrastructure engineering, platform delivery, and architecture execution to help clients accelerate modernization and improve operational performance.

This role supports enterprise clients across cloud modernization, data platform transformation, analytics enablement, and operational optimization initiatives.

Work You'll Do

As an Azure/Databricks Infrastructure Engineer III on the AI & Engineering team, you will be responsible for...

  • Designing, building, and supporting Azure cloud infrastructure and Databricks platform environments for enterprise clients
  • Implementing Azure landing zones, networking, security controls, and scalable cloud architecture solutions across development, test, and production environments
  • Configuring and administering Databricks workspaces, clusters, Unity Catalog, governance capabilities, and platform security controls
  • Developing infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates, and automating deployments through Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
  • Supporting cloud modernization, analytics, AI, and enterprise data transformation initiatives through architecture reviews, technical workshops, and delivery collaboration
  • Participate in architecture reviews, technical workshops, client discussions, and operational planning sessions

In this role, you will work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, analytics modernization, DevOps automation, and enterprise data transformation.

Qualifications

Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field
4+ years of experience in Azure cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or enterprise transformation delivery
Strong hands-on experience with Azure networking, Landing Zones, cloud architecture, and infrastructure deployment
Experience administering and supporting Databricks environments including Unity Catalog, governance, and cluster management
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
Experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, governance, and enterprise platform operations
Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred:
Experience supporting enterprise analytics, ETL, Snowflake, or modern data engineering ecosystems
Experience supporting AI/ML or advanced analytics infrastructure environments
Azure and/or Databricks certifications preferred
Experience working across hybrid cloud or enterprise modernization initiatives
Consulting experience supporting large-scale transformation programs

Wages + Salary

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $116,200 to $229,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
