We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in maintenance and engineering, with at least five years of hands-on experience in a similar role. This position will require strong mechanical skills HVAC and electrical proficiency. Ability to read blue prints and schematics is preferred, along with trouble-shooting skills. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, ensuring that all hotel facilities operate smoothly and efficiently. Good communication skills are necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Routine Maintenance: Perform daily inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
  • Guest Room Maintenance: Address guest room issues promptly, including lighting, plumbing, and minor carpentry repairs, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests.
  • Public Area Upkeep: Maintain the hotel's public spaces, including lobbies, meeting rooms, and recreational areas, to ensure safety and aesthetic standards are met.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and equipment used in hotel maintenance tasks.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including fire safety, OSHA regulations, and hotel policies, ensuring a secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Energy Management: Assist in monitoring and optimizing energy usage throughout the property to support sustainability initiatives.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, such as power outages, leaks, or equipment failures, minimizing disruption to operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as housekeeping and front office, to address maintenance needs and support hotel operations.

WAGE: This position pays $53.68 per hour

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in maintenance or engineering, preferably in a hotel, resort, or similar environment.
