Job description

Feline-Only Associate Veterinarian
Location: A Cat Clinic - Boyds, Maryland

We're seeking a compassionate Feline-Only Associate Veterinarian who shares our deep love for cats and commitment to exceptional feline care.

As an AAHA-accredited and Gold Level Cat Friendly Practice, our hospital is devoted solely to feline health. Since opening in 1986 (and relocating to our current facility in 2005), we've built a loyal clientele and a close-knit team of "cat people" who are proud to deliver gold-standard veterinary care in a warm, stress-free environment that keeps clients coming back.

Why You'll Love Working With Us

Our modern facility features advanced technology including:

  • Digital radiography (full-body and dental)
  • Ultrasound
  • Comprehensive in-house diagnostics

You'll work alongside two ABVP board-certified feline doctors and a highly skilled team trained in feline-specific handling and care. If you're interested in becoming board-certified yourself, we're happy to support and mentor you along the way.

We also value work-life balance-our veterinarians are not required to handle after-hours emergencies.

About The Area

Located in Boyds, MD, our clinic offers the perfect balance between peaceful suburban life and proximity to Washington, D.C. Enjoy vibrant city amenities, beautiful outdoor recreation, and one of the nation's top-rated school systems in the DMV.

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive health insurance
  • Life insurance, short- and long-term disability
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays
  • Continuing education support and in-house training
  • Paid state licensing and DEA fees

Compensation:

  • Base salary of $120,000-$140,000 (based on experience)
  • Production-based bonuses
  • Generous sign-on and retention bonuses

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited university
  • Active (or eligible for) veterinary licensure in Maryland
  • Genuine passion for feline medicine
  • Commitment to client education and high-quality, compassionate care
  • Open to any experience level, including new graduates
