Job description

Senior IT Business Analyst for a 3-month initial contract for an insurance industry client in the northern Chicago suburbs. This role will support a short, highly focused planning phase (eight weeks) for a Salesforce to Microsoft Dynamics CRM migration. The planning phase is intended to produce all analysis, documentation, and delivery artifacts required for a subsequent execution phase. The Senior Business Analyst will work as part of a small team alongside a technical analyst and a mid-level business analyst, owning end-to-end business analysis activities including current- and future-state documentation, requirements definition, risk identification, and backlog creation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead start-to-finish business analysis for a Salesforce to Microsoft Dynamics CRM migration
  • Document current-state and future-state processes, workflows, data flows, and system interactions
  • Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements
  • Identify and document risks, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints
  • Translate requirements into user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Create and manage a sprint backlog in Azure DevOps
  • Facilitate working sessions with business and IT stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on enterprise IT initiatives
  • Strong as-is / to-be documentation skills
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Experience in insurance or regulated industries
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or Microsoft Dynamics CRM is preferred
