Job Summary:
Nyla Technology Solutions delivers exceptional Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Software Engineering services for the U.S. Government. They are looking for a Mid-Level Web Developer who will contribute as a core engineer on a team delivering enterprise web services deployed in AWS.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute as a core engineer on a small, hardworking team delivering enterprise web services deployed in AWS.
• Take ownership of features end-to-end—spanning the API, UI, and data layer—while directly influencing system architecture and design decisions.
• Deploy robust services, troubleshoot production incidents, and elevate code reliability across multiple applications in an Agile environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active Security Clearance at the TS/SCI Polygraph level is required
• Active Fully-Cleared with Poly (TS/SCI with Polygraph)
• Active DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level I baseline certification is mandatory (e.g., Security+ CE, CAP, or GSLC)
• Proven professional work experience developing web services using one or more modern languages and frameworks (such as JavaScript, Vue.js, React, HTML, CSS, PHP, Python, Java, Node.js, or .NET C#)
• Strong background deploying and operating software on Linux, including service configuration, log analysis, basic networking, and system automation
• Solid understanding of API design, secure coding practices, and core authentication/authorization frameworks
• Working knowledge of relational databases combined with a practical command of performance basics like indexing and query tuning
• Ability to refine complex stakeholder requirements, estimate technical effort, and deliver features iteratively with minimal supervision
• Minimum of seven (7) years of professional software engineering (SWE) experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university
• Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for a bachelor’s degree (totaling 11 years of experience)
Preferred:
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining infrastructure inside AWS (specifically IAM, EC2, ALB, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch) or Azure equivalents
• Practical experience managing web and application server configurations, specifically Nginx, Apache, and/or Tomcat
• Scripting experience with Python and/or PowerShell along with foundational familiarity building CI/CD deployment pipelines
• Background supporting critical production environments and participating in structured on-call or incident response activities
• Active participation in code reviews and an interest in championing high-quality software maintenance standards
