Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Executing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and devising personalized care plans
  • Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues in collaboration with physicians or autonomously based on your qualifications
  • Providing education to patients and their families regarding prevention, wellness, and disease management strategies
  • Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your practice scope
  • Engaging in patient follow-ups and ongoing chronic care management
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, comprehensive care
  • Accurately documenting interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)
Essential Education
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Mandatory Certifications
  • Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (with the ability to obtain within 90 days)
