Raytheon is looking for an RF & Microwave Engineer II with a track record in RF and Microwave designing and testing methods and techniques, and hands-on experience in automation programing to work with our team of experts within the Airborne Radar Electronics Receiver / Exciter Hardware Design Group. 

What You Will Do:

  • A successful candidate is someone who has experience working in a fast moving, high-octane environment with prior success in designing and testing Microwave RF circuits, Radio Frequency Assemblies (RFAs), Microwave Integrated Circuits (MICs), Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs), Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) & Production support.
  • Test experience in high frequency circuits ranging from baseband to millimeter wave is required. Module and Unit level experience along with a broad understanding of Receiver / Exciters and Systems level requirements is advantageous.
  • The candidate will support Hardware and Software design and equipment selections, develop Special Test equipment (including validation & certification), conduct testing and integration, and see the product from development through production & post-production technical support phases.
  • The successful candidate will create and present technical data packages for program management during regularly scheduled meetings as well as various design reviews.
  • The individual should be self-motivated, possess a proactive approach to problem solving, and be prepared to work with a focused team with an innovative mindset.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience in RF/Microwave products
  • Experience in software tools including: Keysight ADS, National Instruments AWR Microwave Office, Sonnet EM, Ansys HFSS, AutoCAD or comparable
  • Experience with high frequency circuits ranging from baseband to millimeter wave is required.
  • Experience in lab equipment including Special Test Equipment, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Power Meters
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance post-start is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • In Special Test Equipment (STE) Hardware and Software design, experienced using lab equipment
  • Experience in software tools including C, C++, LabWindows, CVI, Matlab, NI Test Stand or comparable

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
