Overview
RF Design Engineer II – Onsite, 1st shift, McKinney, TX.
Required U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret clearance. The position is 100% on‑site and involves design, development, and sustainment of state‑of‑the‑art microwave products in the Airborne Antenna Design Department.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and sustain state‑of‑the‑art Transmit/Receive (T/R) microwave products (modules, TRIMMs, planar arrays, etc.).
Implement best‑practice standards for microwave design and testing with sound engineering process discipline and leadership.
Interface with factory, program, and customer personnel to implement design improvements.
Support factory troubleshooting, analyze product defect trends, and implement process/product improvements in alignment with factory and program production needs.
Qualifications
- Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including transmit/receive functions covering MHz through Ka-band.
- Experience with data analysis using MATLAB.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- RF/Microwave Design, Verification, Test (DVT) experience with network/spectrum analyzers and/or antenna measurement systems.
- Experience with Keysight ADS and Mentor Graphics Xpedition design software.
- Experience with PWB and CCA processes for hybrid designs incorporating digital, power, and RF circuitry.
- Experience in engineering RF requirements development and verification.
- Experience interfacing with technical engineers and production personnel and presenting to upper‑level management.
Benefits
Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
