Overview

Are you a licensed surveyor or experienced survey leader ready to take charge of high-impact projects across land development, infrastructure, and construction? As a Survey Project Manager, you'll lead teams, coordinate with clients, and ensure technical accuracy from the field to final deliverables. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment where leadership, geospatial precision, and project vision all come together. You’ll oversee a wide range of survey services, mentor rising talent, and collaborate with some of the best minds in AEC.

At Colliers Engineering & Design, we’re seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our growing team in Columbia, MD.

Join our Survey/Geospatial team, which offers a full range of survey and geospatial data and mapping services that enable us to collect data faster, safer, and more accurately than ever before. Collect data from the air, ground and subsurface to provide precision data interpretation with us and accelerate YOUR success to become tomorrow’s industry leader.


Responsibilities

Lead and manage survey/geospatial projects including:

  • Client Communication (internal and external).
  • Project Proposal Preparation & Invoicing.
  • Overseeing 2 or more Survey Crews.
  • New Business Development combining existing clients with Colliers Engineering & Design’s diverse Land Survey & Measurement Service lines which include: 3D High Definition Laser Scanning, Mobile Lidar Mapping, Rail Surveying, GPS and Conventional Surveys.

Qualifications
  • Maryland State Professional Land Surveyor License required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation.
  • 10+ years of experience in all areas of the job description.
  • Must be able to generate revenue through existing client base and new business development.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
  • A valid drivers license is required. 

Compensation: $95,000 to $146,000/yr (depending on qualifications)
