Role: CADD Support Consultant

Location: Onsite GA

The client Office of Design & Policy Support s seeking to hire a CADD Support Consultant to assist in the support and implementation of CADD software and workspaces within the Department and assist Department personnel in the development, testing, and implementation of CADD software; primarily Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Bentley OpenBridge Modeler with some need to support legacy workspaces for Bentley InRoads and Microstation SS2, CAiCE, and Bentley MicroStation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day user support:
  • Troubleshooting user issues submitted via ServiceNow ticketing system
  • Software installation as needed for users
  • Assist with external user workspace installatio
  • Assist in maintaining the Department?s Engineering Software standards and documentation: Determining best way to use the Bentley software to achieve design or plan preparation goals or the best way to use the client workspace to achieves these goals. The main development here would be the documentation of best practices (like how-to?s or workflows).
  • Develop/conduct CADD software/workspace user training sessions: Experience is preferred but not required. The candidate will be expected to help develop and put on training as needed.
  • Investigate new and emerging CADD technology and make recommendations to Department personnel and management for implementation:
  • Document/revise existing and new business processes to meet new/revised CADD software requirements
  • Develop CADD software best practices
  • Investigate new and emerging CADD technology and make recommendations to Department personnel and management for implementation

Qualifications: 

  • 2-4 years documenting/revising existing and new business processes to meet new/revised CADD software requirements combined experience with the above duties. 
  • 2-4 years? experience Department personnel in the development, testing, and implementation of CADD software. 
  • 2-4 years? experience working with CADD software (i.e.; Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Bentley OpenBridge Bentley InRoads and Microstation SS2, CAiCE, and Bentley MicroStation) 
  • Public sector and/or Transportation experience is strongly preferred.
  • Transportation engineering background is a huge plus.
  • Some knowledge of Visual Basic is preferred. Python is strongly preferred.
