DBHDS - Business Analyst 4 (807384) Data Warehouse / Saas Projects Experience

Location: Richmond VA

Interview would be ONSITE ONLY
Summary: We are seeking a Sr Business Analyst with a technical background to support software development IT Projects at DBHDS using a mix of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid Methodologies. This project will replace/modernize core functionality of the DBHDS Incident Management System.
 

Requirements
? Perform all tasks related to business analysis, including problem/opportunity identification, elicitation of requirements, and management of stakeholders to meet business and project objectives.
? Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
? Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
? Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.
? Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
? Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements ? verbally or through written documentation ? to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
? Facilitate collaboration and knowledge transfer between stakeholders and the development team
? Work with other BSAs, Data Analysts, Business Architect, Development, and Data Governance teams to ensure the needs of these partners are incorporated into project requirements.
? Develop user acceptance tests and facilitate their execution and business validation discussions and meetings.

Preferred Qualifications
? Technical background.
? Strong experience developing, executing, and managing cloud-hosted SaaS implementation projects ? Required ? 4 years

Experience with Data Modernization & Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management methodologies ? Required ? 5 years

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Professional Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) ? Required ? 5 years

Experience with automated requirements and development management tools ? Required ? 4 years

Technical background ? Desired ? 3 years

Experience with healthcare projects ? Desired ? 3 years

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner ? Desired ? 2 years

Proficient in writing user stories ? Required ? 4 years

Knowledge of JIRA or Azure DevOps ? Desired ? Experience preferred (years not specified)

PMP Certification through PMI or Qualified under Commonwealth of Virginia Qualification Standards

Experience with VITA?s Commonwealth Technology Portfolio (CTP) system and ECOS process

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

? Extensive experience leading business and IT resources through the discovery and documentation of business and technical requirements
? Ability to lead others to implement new approaches, systems, structures, and methods
? Strong experience in developing, executing, and managing cloud hosted SaaS implementation projects.
? Experience with automated requirements/development management tools
? Ability to analyze and document system processes.
? Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills.
? Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to simplify and communicate complex issues and technical concepts to multiple audiences.
? Knowledge of both Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management practices and when to apply each according to organizational and project needs
? Ability to build & provide meaningful project health information and insights to business & IT Leadership.
? Ability accurately and effectively represent the project team in multiple forums and to all levels of leadership.
