Come work with senior-level professionals at an established A/E firm that values employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Roadway Designer to join our team in our Indianapolis or Fort Wayne office.
B&N Roadway Designer Responsibilities:
  • As part of a project team, collaborate on plan production to produce high quality plans, specifications that follow INDOT standards and guidelines
  • Manage and coordinate project drawings using Microstation, InRoads software
  • Complete design tasks and produce high quality plans, specifications, and estimate deliverables to create an exemplary client experience
  • Collaborate with engineering staff on technical challenges while adhering to task performance indicators, budgets, and schedules

Skills & Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Associate's degree or college training may be substituted for some, but not all 10+ years of relevant experience
  • INDOT Utility Coordination Certification preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering design and production software (MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD and Civil3D)
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs
