ob Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Technician to join our dynamic engineering and manufacturing team. This role involves performing electrical system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across various electronic and electro-mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electrical diagnostics, schematic interpretation, circuit testing, and equipment troubleshooting. They will contribute to ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced tools and software, including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and scripting languages such as Python. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with industry standards and safety protocols. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately. Conduct root cause analysis to identify faults within electronic systems and electro-mechanical components. Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, circuit testers, and other electronic testing equipment to troubleshoot issues. Perform circuit board assembly, soldering, surface mount technology (SMT), and circuit testing procedures. Develop and update electrical schematics using CAD software like AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or SolidWorks. Support project scheduling activities by estimating timeframes for installation or repair tasks. Debug complex electronic systems involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electronic circuit boards. Assist in the design and modification of electrical systems using scripting languages such as Python. Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical infrastructure to minimize downtime. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to understand electro-mechanical component integration. Document repair procedures, system modifications, and diagnostic findings comprehensively. Maintain compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during all activities. Qualifications Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or in a similar role within manufacturing or industrial environments. Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, schematics reading, and interpretation. Proficiency with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or SolidWorks for electrical design. Experience with PCB design, electronic equipment testing, circuit boards assembly, and surface mount technology. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, oscilloscopes for electrical diagnostics. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), scripting (Python), and automation systems. Mechanical knowledge related to electro-mechanical components is highly desirable.
