Description
Perform the duties of the technical lead for the relevant Service Tower, act as the subject matter expert for various related disciplinary topics as they relate to the Service Tower, perform overall quality review, reviews adherence to SLA's, tracks and updates key performance metrics as needed.
Is responsible for administering the Enterprise Monitoring Systems and utilizing them to monitor Systems and application availability. Evaluates and recommends improvements to the current monitoring infrastructure environment to maximize performance and availability of Systems and applications.
Experience
5+ Years of experience as a shift lead for Tools with experience in Tools like, SCOM, SCORCH, Splunk, Solarwinds Orion, eG Innovations
8+ Years of IT experience which includes 3+years as a network engineer, system engineer, or database engineer
3+ years of working experience with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager
2+ years working with Microsoft System Center Orchestrator
3 years of customer facing role/interaction
Education
(Bachelor's Degree) from accredited University
Skills :
Strong scripting skills in one or more of the following : Power Shell, Perl, VBScript
Strong project coordination skills
Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Knowledge :
Strong knowledge of UNIX and Microsoft Operating Systems
Strong knowledge of native monitoring performance tools : SNMP, WMI, perfmon and syslog
