Position Overview

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Microsoft M365 and Azure Solutions Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise cloud solutions. This role is responsible for architecting secure, scalable, and efficient M365 and Azure environments that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. The Solutions Architect will collaborate with IT leadership, security teams, and business stakeholders to modernize infrastructure, enable digital transformation, and ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft cloud technologies, a strategic mindset, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable solutions. Compensation Range: $59.58 - $89.38 per hour, depending on experience

Job Responsibilities
  • Translate business and technical requirements into Microsoft365 and Azure solution architectures aligned with organizational goals
  • Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and future‑state designs
  • Partner with business stakeholders and infrastructure, network, identity, and server teams to deliver scalable, resilient solutions
  • Assess the current Microsoft solution portfolio to identify gaps, risks, and technical debt
  • Monitor and evaluate emerging Microsoft and cloud technologies to recommend optimizations and innovations
  • Lead the design and implementation of M365 and Azure solutions in alignment with enterprise standards
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and SubjectMatterExpert for Microsoft365, Azure, and EntraID
  • Architect, configure, and administer Microsoft365 workloads including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, and M365 Apps
  • Design and enforce security, compliance, and data governance using Microsoft Purview, DLP, retention, sensitivity labels, and auditing
  • Develop and execute PowerShell automation for administration, governance, and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with PMO and agile teams to ensure architectural alignment throughout the project lifecycle
  • Guide endpoint and device management through Intune, ensuring compliance, patching, and security posture
  • Produce and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and training materials
  • Communicate architectural decisions, risks, and progress effectively to executive leadership and technical teams
Position Requirements
  • Minimum
    • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
    • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft365 environments governance and management; hands‑on experience with Office365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive
    • Obtain Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals within 90 days of hire
  • Preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
    • A minimum of five years’ combined experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines; including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development
    • Microsoft Certified: AzureSolutionsArchitect Expert (AZ‑305)
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS‑102)
