Job Summary:
MDAEdge is seeking a skilled Microsoft Power BI Developer with a reinsurance industry background to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using Power BI and collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality dashboards and reports that drive data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand reporting needs.
• Utilize Databricks and dbt to create gold-standard reporting objects for Power BI dashboards.
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and custom reports using Power BI.
• Build data models and execute data transformations using Power Query and DAX.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous validation and quality checks.
• Optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI-related issues promptly.
• Document processes, data sources, and report specifications for future reference.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling.
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
• Solid understanding of data visualization best practices.
