Job Description:
US|Machine Learning Engineer V
Location: Houston, Texas
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to partner with product, data science, and platform teams to design, build, and productionize AI and machine learning solutions. This role is delivery-focused and hands-on, emphasizing cloud architecture, MLOps, automation, and operational excellence. The position focuses on systems design, architecture, deployment, and hands-on work within Microsoft Foundry, rather than model building. The objective is to create repeatable, scalable architectures that support enterprise-wide AI adoption.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy standardized, reusable architectures supporting multiple enterprise AI products.
  • Work hands-on within Microsoft Foundry, including agent deployment, grounding configuration, and token management.
  • Build and maintain Ansible roles to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment of Foundry and Azure resources.
  • Use Ansible as an abstraction layer to manage complex, large-scale Azure environments.
  • Support enterprise-wide Foundry deployments, including environment separation and regional architectures.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and platform teams to accelerate standardization efforts.
  • Contribute to reusable accelerators, templates, and patterns to improve delivery speed.
  • Support CI/CD, monitoring, and operational practices for AI and ML systems.
Required Qualifications
  • A background in software engineering, including designing production-grade systems and applying reusable patterns, abstractions, and architectural standards.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Foundry, including deploying and managing agents, configuring grounding, and managing token limits and multi-region deployments.
  • Experience in the design and deployment of AI/ML architecture, including deployment patterns and environment separation.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Ansible, including the ability to build Ansible roles for automation and configuration management.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or machine learning engineering roles.
  • Proven experience delivering production AI or ML solutions in a cloud environment.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including AI/ML services and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Azure Machine Learning (pipelines, endpoints, registries).
  • Exposure to traditional machine learning or data science.
  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Familiarity with data engineering tools such as Databricks, Spark, or Azure Data Factory.
