Role Summary

A Microsoft Engineer / Architect with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft 365 environments. This role involves ensuring optimal performance, security, and functionality of cloud-based productivity tools. The position requires collaboration across technical teams to support migrations, upgrades, and integrations, driving efficiency and security within the organization''s digital workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable Microsoft 365 solutions, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.
  • Document configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and system architecture to maintain comprehensive system knowledge.
  • Assist in planning, executing, and supporting Microsoft 365 migrations, upgrades, and integrations with existing systems.
  • Support and enforce security policies, compliance standards, and device management via Intune, including device enrollment, configuration, and patching.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and security of the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Manage user licenses, permissions, and access controls to maintain secure and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with IT teams in deploying and configuring Microsoft Azure services and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
  • Stay current with Microsoft 365 updates, industry trends, and best practices, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to mature and secure the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for Microsoft 365 services, resolving issues promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience managing Microsoft 365 environments, including Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Proven expertise in deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 and related cloud services.
  • Strong understanding of security protocols, compliance standards, and networking fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation tasks.
  • Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure deployments within M365 environments.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management tools like Active Directory, Azure AD, conditional access, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications and a college degree are preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and implementing best practices in security and system performance.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid schedule, balancing onsite and remote work.

Publishing Pay Range: $70.00 - $80.00 Hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
