Lucky Star Rewards Representative

Responsible for enrollment of guests into the Lucky Star Rewards database, explanation of club rewards, assist guests with all financial transaction needs, assist guests with casino events and gaming tournament reservation/participation. Lucky Star Rewards Representatives are responsible for assigned bank drawer(s) and shall perform their work in accordance with department and casino policies and procedures and industry best practices.

This position ensures the confidentiality, security and accuracy of guest records, and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required. A neat, well-groomed appearance is essential at all times.

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

The essential functions of the Lucky Star Rewards Representative include but are not limited to:

  • Interact with guests in the gaming area, acknowledging current Lucky Star Rewards members and recruits new members.
  • Remain up-to-date on Casino promotions, events and Lucky Star Reward benefits applicable to the various Star Card tiers in order to provide exemplary guest service.
  • Enter and update player information into the Lucky Star Rewards database with speed and accuracy.
  • Participate in the distribution of prizes and rewards to Lucky Star Reward members and prepares all relevant documentation.
  • Utilize the public announcement system to promote Lucky Star Rewards and when officiating special events
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of Lucky Star Reward members' information.
  • Participate in the resolution of Lucky Star Reward database informational disputes and notifies/involves the Lucky Stars Reward Supervisor when necessary.
  • Receive and exchange cash and gaming chips
  • Process personal and payroll check cashing, credit and debit card transaction as well as cash advances.
  • Process fill and credit transactions
  • Redeem/settle coupons and prizes as required from the player tracking system.
  • Prepare cash drawer reconciliation and accounting records for their shift
  • Safeguard contents/assets in their assigned drawer/work area and is accountable for money handling processes and procedures. Ensure the highest level of GUEST service standards are provided to guests every time. Listen and respond to guest concerns and questions.
  • Understand and adhere to all regulatory, Tribal, Casino and department rules, regulations, policies and procedures including compliance with internal controls and industry best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position.

A minimum six (6) months experience in high-volume, highly-accountable cash handing environments preferred. Work requires continuous attention to detail specific to data entry and cash handling. Knowledge of the casino environment preferred with applicable rules and regulations. Banking, retail or public interchange experience is a plus. Requires the ability to work well as part of a team or individually. Required to pass a math test with a score greater than or equal to 80 percent.

Position requires strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills along with an understanding of proper business etiquette. Basic knowledge of modern office equipment, including the use of a currency counting machine is preferred. Must be flexible with shift availability and able to work any day including weekends and holidays, as well as any shift (days/swing/grave) as needed. Must have basic computer knowledge, with basic understanding and experience with email, preferably Microsoft Outlook.

Must be a minimum of 21 years old and have the ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License; successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle; feel; or grip objects, stretch and/or reach with hands and arms; stoop; crouch or work in cramped or awkward positions; repetitive motions. This person may regularly lift and/or move up to 30+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus.

Primarily indoors and may be exposed to heavy smoke and fluctuations in temperature while in and around the Casino and/or Hotel. May also, from time-to-time be exposed to noise from slot machines, customers, music and public announcement system, as is common in a Casino and/or Hotel environment.
