The Endpoint Engineer is a key member of the End User Services team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining endpoint solutions that enable secure, seamless, and productive experiences for Ameris Bank employees. This role focuses on device lifecycle management, endpoint security, and user experience optimization, ensuring compliance with bank standards and regulatory requirements. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs detailed project work for various infrastructure technology code releases and initiatives.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows, macOS, and mobile endpoints using enterprise tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune/SCCM).
  • Automate provisioning workflows and patch management to ensure timely updates and compliance.
  • Integrate asset tracking systems (e.g., Device42) with service management platforms like Jira for streamlined operations..
  • Implement and monitor endpoint security policies, including encryption, antivirus, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Ensure adherence to Ameris Bank's information security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the End User Services team to deliver a white-glove experience for device deployments and upgrades.
  • Provide Tier-3 support for complex endpoint issues, acting as an escalation point for Service Desk and Field Support teams..
  • Manage the full lifecycle of endpoint devices, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and reporting for audits and compliance.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance productivity and security.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives aligned with Ameris Bank's customer-first culture.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
