POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the CRM Marketing Specialist, the Commercial Lead Generation Coordinator is responsible for qualifying marketing-generated leads and connecting qualified prospects with the appropriate sales resources. Serving as an important link between Marketing and Sales, this position evaluates inbound inquiries, maintains accurate lead information within Microsoft Dynamics 365, and ensures leads progress through the established commercial lead management process.


The role is expected to spend approximately 60% of its time managing and qualifying inbound marketing leads and 40% proactively identifying potential commercial prospects through research and Marketing-approved lead sources. Success in this role is measured by qualified lead volume and quality, timely lead response and routing, CRM data accuracy, sales acceptance of qualified leads, and contribution to MQL-to-Opportunity conversion. This is a non-supervisory position.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Qualification & Management:

Serve as a primary point of qualification for marketing-generated commercial leads

Review and respond to inbound leads from digital campaigns, website inquiries, marketing programs, and other approved lead sources.

Evaluate leads against established qualification criteria to determine whether they represent legitimate commercial sales opportunities.

Assign and route qualified leads to the appropriate sales representative or sales channel according to established lead-flow processes.

Maintain timely and accurate lead statuses, qualification information, notes, and dispositions within Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Ensure unqualified leads are appropriately categorized and documented for reporting and future marketing consideration.

Consistently apply established MAL and MQL definitions and escalate unclear or recurring exceptions.


Proactive Lead Generation & Research:

Proactively identify prospective commercial customers using research and Marketing-approved paid lead-generation sources.

Research organizations and contacts to identify potential commercial fitness opportunities and appropriate decision-makers.

Conduct initial outbound phone and email outreach to validate prospect information, assess potential interest, and determine whether the prospect meets established criteria for referral to Sales. The position does not own opportunity development, quoting, negotiation, or closing.

Maintain accurate prospect and account information within Microsoft Dynamics 365


CRM & Lead Data Management:

Maintain accurate, complete, and current lead and prospect information within Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Support CRM data quality and hygiene through duplicate identification, data validation, accurate lead categorization, and ongoing record maintenance.

Maintain appropriate campaign attribution and lead-source information to support Marketing performance measurement.

Work within Captello and other approved lead-capture platforms as needed to ensure marketing-generated leads are accurately transferred into established CRM processes.

Identify lead-management or data-quality issues and escalate recurring process concerns to the CRM Marketing Specialist


Sales & Marketing Collaboration:

Serve as an internal lead-generation partner to commercial sales representatives.

Communicate qualified lead information, relevant prospect intelligence, and lead context to Sales to support effective follow-up.

Work with sales representatives to understand lead outcomes and maintain accurate CRM dispositions.

Provide feedback regarding lead quality, recurring prospect needs, and market observations that may help improve Marketing and lead-generation efforts.

Support other lead-generation and CRM projects as assigned, including occasional travel and work outside normal business hours, which may be required for approved trade shows and events

Requirements

Education

Associate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.


Experience

Previous experience in B2B lead generation, inside sales, customer engagement, business development, or marketing preferred.

Experience communicating with prospective customers by phone and email preferred.

Experience working within a CRM system; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred.

Experience conducting business or account research and working with prospecting or lead-data platforms is a plus.


Other Requirements

Strong verbal and written communication skills and a professional customer-facing approach.

Comfort working toward measurable lead-generation and conversion goals.

Ability to manage a high volume of inbound leads while balancing proactive prospecting responsibilities.

Strong digital literacy, research skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach above the shoulders, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. This position will require working on-site. The employee will primarily work in a typical professional office environment using a phone and computer for extended periods. Occasional visits to warehouses, showrooms, events, or other businesses may be required.
