Job description

Are you a passionate developer who loves solving complex problems and making a real impact? At Silver Star Brands, you'll do exactly that — all from the comfort of your home, while being part of a truly connected and collaborative team culture.

What Makes This Role Exciting?

  • Work remotely from anywhere in the continental United States while staying engaged with a team that genuinely values your contributions
  • Make a big impact on key business systems that thousands of people rely on
  • Grow your skills in cutting-edge technologies, including AI tools and Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Collaborate with talented developers, business teams, and stakeholders across the organization

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing, coding, testing, and maintaining complex applications with minimal supervision
  • Writing clean, high-quality code and participating in peer code reviews in a PCI Compliant environment
  • Contributing to large-scale projects involving multiple developers, teams, and systems
  • Working within Azure DevOps using Agile principles and open communication
  • Keeping business-critical systems highly performant, stable, and available
  • Staying ahead of industry trends and embracing new tools — including AI-powered development tools

What You'll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • 3–7 years of IT experience, with 3+ years in software development
  • Proficiency in at least one OOP language — C#, VB .Net, X++, or Java
  • Working knowledge of shell scripting (PowerShell or Bash)
  • Experience with code repositories such as Git, GitHub, or Azure DevOps
  • Strong communication skills — you can translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • A tenacious, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with MS Dynamics AX (4.0, 2009, 2012, or 365) — bonus points if you've been part of a 365 migration!
  • Front-end forms development experience
  • Comfort working with X++ programming and Dynamics integrations

The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here

You're someone who:

  • Takes ownership of your work and its results
  • Communicates openly and often — with your team and business partners
  • Collaborates naturally but can also run independently
  • Thinks innovatively and isn't afraid to suggest a better way

A Few Other Things to Know

  • This role includes an on-call rotation
  • You'll work closely with business partners and IT teams to deliver reliable technology solutions
