Overview


As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for working in a team-based environment supporting our customers running workloads in the public cloud. You will work in conjunction with your team to foster heightened customer experience and drive technical innovation in the managed services practice.


Your Impact


The essential functions of this position include:

  • Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of Azure production environments
  • Ensuring availability, performance, security, governance and scalability of Azure production systems via various monitoring, logging, and other toolsets
  • Management of creation, release, and configuration of production systems
  • System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms.
  • Validation of new customer deployments.
  • Deployment in conjunction with best practice design and governance.
  • Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements.
  • Deployment and configuration of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on Azure platform.
  • Maintenance and management of tools for automation of different operational processes.
  • Participate regularly as a primary resource in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications


  • 2+ years of experience in deploying and supporting of Azure environments
  • 3+ years of experience in deploying and supporting complex datacenter and/or public cloud environments
  • Azure Certified DevOps Engineer Expert certification or other Azure related certification preferred
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Experience being with customer facing consulting or support roles is a plus
  • Azure experience with multiple IaaS and PaaS services
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex, interdisciplinary public cloud technical issues
  • Ability to work in a diverse and geographically dispersed team environment with multiple engineering resources of varying skillsets and responsibilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with a wide range of Customers across different verticals
  • Experience in code development in at least one high-level programming language
  • Cloud networking experience with services such as VNETs, ExpressRoute, VPN, Azure Firewall, Azure vWAN, Azure App Gateway, Azure Load Balancer, FrontDoor, and Traffic Manager
  • Experience working in a complex CI/CD pipeline to include tools such as Azure DevOps
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skillsets to include Azure Bicep, ARM Templates and/or other toolsets such as Terraform
  • Knowledge of operating system administration to include Linux and Windows
  • Microsoft technologies to include Active Directory, SQL, Patch Management, Certificate Services
  • SIEM technologies to include Microsoft Sentinel and other Enterprise SIEMs such as Splunk
  • Cloud Identity to include Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Cloud Security services to include Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Azure Firewall, Azure WAF
  • Kubernetes/Container security solutions such as Aqua and Palo Alto Prisma Cloud
  • Knowledge of business continuity practices to include multi-region Disaster Recovery and Backup
  • Kubernetes systems administration
  • Experience with application load testing and quality assurance activities
  • 2+ years of experience in deploying and supporting of Azure environments
  • 3+ years of experience in deploying and supporting complex datacenter and/or public cloud environments
  • Azure Certified DevOps Engineer Expert certification or other Azure related certification preferred

Position Specifics


The initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $125,000 and $150,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, our compensation structure may include other components such as commissions and discretionary bonuses.
