Charton Hobbs Group

Charton Hobbs Group is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence and analytics solutions in a data-rich environment, primarily within the Microsoft Fabric (Power BI) ecosystem.

Working closely with business intelligence analysts and the change management team, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality data models, reporting, dashboards, and insights across the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions while ensuring performance, reliability, and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with national and regional business analysts and BI stakeholders to define reporting requirements and develop effective BI solutions
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models to support self-service analytics
  • Build and optimize data acquisition and transformation workflows (ETL/ELT pipelines)
  • Support ongoing enhancements and operations of the data warehouse environment
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions in collaboration with BI analysts
  • Provide second-level support for existing BI tools and solutions
  • Contribute to Agile processes, including sprint planning, progress updates, and documentation
  • Research and implement best practices, tools, and methodologies for BI development
  • Support user enablement, including documentation and training as required
  • Maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries and reporting definitions

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data modeling and BI development
  • Strong experience with tabular data models, DAX, and data transformation techniques
  • Advanced SQL skills, including analytical functions and data warehousing concepts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft BI tools (Power BI, SQL, SSIS) and the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem
  • Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development
  • Knowledge of software development practices and version control (e.g., Git)
  • Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) is required
  • Experience with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, or Microsoft Power Platform is considered an asset
