Position Summary

JL Properties is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support and maintain the organization's core technology infrastructure. This position is responsible for administering servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, cloud services, networking, backup solutions, and security platforms that keep our business running efficiently. Working alongside the IT Manager and IT team, you'll help ensure our infrastructure remains secure, reliable, and scalable as the organization continues to grow.

What You'll Do

  • Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, and Group Policy.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint Online, and Exchange Online environments.
  • Maintain server infrastructure, virtualization, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
  • Manage networking equipment, VPN connectivity, wireless infrastructure, and firewalls.
  • Administer backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives, compliance platforms, and endpoint security technologies.
  • Assist with infrastructure upgrades, cloud initiatives, and technology projects.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Develop automation scripts and improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide occasional after-hours support.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to three years of systems administration experience.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
  • Understanding of enterprise networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Hyper-V, Microsoft Entra Connect, SharePoint Online, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise backup solutions.
  • Familiarity with Ubiquiti networking equipment.
  • PowerShell scripting experience.
  • Microsoft Azure or Microsoft 365 certifications.
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certifications.
