Job Title: Programmer - Consultant - Microsoft Dataverse & Power Apps Developer
Location: Columbia, SC - 1801 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 2 days onsite / 3 days remote

Duration: Long-term, with possibility of extension

Job Summary
The State of South Carolina is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dataverse & Power Apps Developer to design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.
The developer will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and other technical teams. This is a highly hands-on role focused on Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, integrations, automation, data modeling, troubleshooting, security, and solution optimization.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power Apps solutions, including Canvas and Model-Driven Apps.
Build and manage Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, forms, views, APIs, and security roles.
Develop complex automated workflows using Power Automate.
Integrate Power Platform solutions with enterprise applications, data sources, and Azure services.
Create and manage custom connectors, APIs, and integrations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development, testing, and production environments.
Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into functional technical solutions.
Implement best practices for solution architecture, governance, data modeling, and secure-by-design development.
Support Power Platform ALM, solution management, DevOps, and deployment pipelines.
Maintain documentation for configurations, data models, custom connectors, workflows, and operational support.
Assist with monitoring, auditing, logging, and compliance controls.
Required Skills
5+ years of hands-on Power Apps development, including Canvas and Model-Driven Apps.
5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dataverse, including advanced data modeling and security architecture.
Strong experience with Power Automate for complex workflows and integrations.
Experience creating and managing custom connectors, APIs, and Azure integrations.
Strong understanding of Power Platform environments, ALM, solution management, DevOps, and deployment pipelines.
Proficiency with JavaScript and Power Fx.
Strong understanding of low-code extensibility patterns.
Preferred Skills
Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure API Management.
Dynamics 365 CE configuration and extended Dataverse features.
Enterprise data governance and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, NIST, and PCI.
Power BI reporting integrations.
Security architecture within Power Platform and Azure AD.
Education & Certifications
Required:
College degree or equivalent experience.
Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics certification OR 5+ years of equivalent experience.
Preferred Certifications:
PL-400 - Power Platform Developer
PL-600 - Power Platform Solution Architect
AZ-900 - Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
Additional Requirements
