Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Account Executive to drive enterprise client growth across a variety of industries. This role focuses on expanding existing accounts while developing net-new client relationships by delivering Microsoft-based cloud, AI, and modern workplace solutions.
As a Microsoft AI Cloud Partner and Inner Circle member, Perficient delivers end-to-end solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem. We engineer integrated, AI-ready solutions that connect business applications, modernize and secure Azure foundations, and deploy Copilots and Agents that drive measurable outcomes across the Microsoft Cloud.
The ideal candidate is a proven consultative seller with deep experience selling Microsoft services-including Azure, Data & AI, Security, Modern Work, and Power Platform-who excels at navigating complex organizations and delivering measurable business value. This role partners closely with internal solution leaders, delivery teams, and Microsoft field sellers.
Responsibilities
  • Own and grow a portfolio of enterprise clients by positioning Microsoft-based consulting and implementation services.
  • Manage the full end-to-end sales cycle, including opportunity qualification, solution shaping, scope definition and estimation, proposal and SOW development, contract negotiation and deal closure.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with executive and senior stakeholder clients, aligning Microsoft solutions to strategic business initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with internal Microsoft practice leaders and delivery teams to ensure strong solution alignment and successful outcomes.
  • Participate in co-sell motions with Microsoft field sellers, following Microsoft's customer engagement methodologies.
  • Identify, develop, and close net-new opportunities while expanding wallet share within existing accounts.
  • Serve as an executive sponsor for select client engagements to ensure satisfaction and long-term value realization.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and account plans, contributing to predictable revenue growth.
  • Travel to client sites as needed (up to 25+%).

Qualifications
  • 8-10+ years of experience in professional services sales, consulting sales, or enterprise technology solutions selling.
  • Demonstrated experience selling across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure (Infrastructure, Data, AI, App Innovation), Security, Modern Work, and Power Platform
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in complex, enterprise environments (Fortune 500 or equivalent).
  • Experience collaborating in a co-sell model with Microsoft sellers.
  • Strong understanding of structured sales methodologies (e.g., Solution Selling, SPIN, Challenger, Strategic Selling).
  • Experience working in a matrixed, consulting-led organization.
  • Preference for applicants to reside near one of Perficient's existing offices.
  • Excellent executive presence, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to translate business challenges into technology-driven outcomes.
  • Highly collaborative, self-motivated, and results oriented.
  • Industry experience within Financial Services, HCLS, Automotive & Manufacturing, Retail & Consumer Products or TMT is required.
  • Passion for AI-driven transformation, automation, and modern cloud adoption.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflow, and support data-informed task executive.
  • A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical consideration is expected.

The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $125,000 to $200,000.
