Train in preparing histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis.
Perform quality control checks, assess tissue adequacy, and maintain laboratory equipment and logs.
Assist with accessioning, monitor and improve personal performance, and follow standard operating procedures.

About the position: As a Laboratory Technician in Training Part-time in the Electron Microscopy department, you will train in preparing histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologists. Work is performed in accordance with standard laboratory practice under limited supervision.

Requirements
You should have:
Education: Bachelor's or Associates degree from a four or two year-college or university with at least 12 semester hours biology and chemistry Certification eligible
Experience: Histology-specific and Laboratory Technical skills. Prefer 2 years of lab experience but not required
Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Word
Other Requirements: Eligible to sit for the National HT/HTL exam after 1 year of employment
Part-Time Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-12:00pm
