Job description


Perform the assembly or sub-assembly of medical device and products in senior level position under limited supervision from line leaders and supervisors in accordance with manufacturing documents. Job duties:
  • Follow manufacturing instructions to assemble products or prototypes as required.
  • Record data associated with the building of products on build records or prototypes as required.
  • Communicate with leads and supervisors when issues related to materials, processes, and/or written procedures are encountered.
  • Work with engineers and supervisors to perform special assembly requests.
  • Follow all related quality, compliance, and Company policies and procedures.
  • Understand Operations objectives and work with team members to achieve overall production goals.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge and skills to perform at least six (6) manufacturing procedures successfully.
  • As directed by leads and supervisors, train other assemblers on certified manufacturing procedures.
  • Meet all performance standards and metrics by using time and resources efficiently.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by keeping work area in a neat and organized manner.
  • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. General knowledge of cleanroom procedures.
  3. Minimum three (3) years of manufacturing experience.
  4. Basic math skills.
  5. Knowledge of basic measuring techniques including scales, rulers, US and metric measurement.
  6. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate (read, write, and speak in English) with peers, engineers, leads, supervisors, and managers.
  7. Ability to do small part assembly work using a microscope, vision system, and/or related automated equipment.
  8. Ability to follow manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
  9. Ability to work in a culturally diverse work population.
  10. Ability to work overtime as required.
Desired Qualifications
  1. Minimum four (4) years of manufacturing experience, preferably in medical device assembly.
Physical
  1. Extended periods of working in a cleanroom or controlled environment, adhering to strict gowning and hygiene requirements.
  2. Extended periods of sitting or standing.
  3. Adequate vision (with or without corrective lenses) and hand-eye coordination for precision assembly work, including performing detailed tasks under a microscope for extended periods.
  4. Frequent use of arms, hands, fingers, and wrists for precision work (e.g., gripping, grasping, pinching, twisting, pulling, etc.).
  5. Occasional bending, twisting, and reaching.
  6. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 15 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  7. May work with machinery and chemicals, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
  8. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety glasses, and gowns, may be required in controlled environments.
  9. Occasional to moderate use of computer.

Salary Range
$19.38/Hour - $25.44/Hour (Financial compensation packages may be higher/lower than listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand)
