Job Overview
Blueline Restaurant is seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to lead our service team and ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality management experience, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves overseeing daily restaurant operations, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality in a fast-paced environment that combines casual dining with fine dining elements.
Duties
  • Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, ensuring efficient service delivery
  • Oversee food and beverage service, including bar operations and catering events
  • Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
  • Train new staff members on food preparation, customer service standards, food safety protocols, and POS usage
  • Monitor inventory levels, control stock, and assist with ordering supplies to ensure smooth restaurant operations
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards
  • Oversee shift management, ensuring proper staffing levels during peak hours and managing scheduling conflicts
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests to maintain high guest satisfaction
  • Assist in budgeting, cost control, and overall food service management to optimize operational efficiency
  • Lead team meetings to promote training & development initiatives and foster a positive work environment

Requirements
  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management, preferably within casual dining or fine dining settings
  • Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and sanitation regulations
  • Experience in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within a restaurant environment
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
  • Background in culinary arts or kitchen management is a plus but not mandatory; hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous
  • Ability to train staff effectively in food preparation, service techniques, and safety protocols
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Previous experience in managing shifts in a quick service & fast food restaurant or casual dining setting preferred
