What You Will Do The Raytheon Effector Guidance Electronics Department is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to serve in the role of Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Electrical Engineer for the Advanced RF Front-End Hardware organization in Atlanta, GA. This Engineer will develop leading-edge compact systems and sensors to enable future generation technologies across RTX. This role will be based onsite in Atlanta, GA. The Senior RF Electrical Engineer will work with cross-functional hardware engineering teams to develop architecture solutions for airborne radar antenna arrays meeting the highest customer expectations. This may include high density microelectronic packaging and payload designs and electronic components / devices such as ASICs and FPGAs, the design of electronic packaging structures and interconnects, thermal control design of high-density electronic systems and electronic enclosures, and the design of radios, power systems, and networks. Example design constraints include size, weight, power, and design to cost. Additionally, the candidate for this role will also design and develop RF hardware used in high-performance communication products, such as sophisticated software-defined radios, amplifiers, receivers, exciters, and data links designed for various ground, airborne, and space applications. The Engineer will be expected to follow established procedures in creation of technical data package work products, while working closely with program management and functional supervision to ensure the overall design objectives are met. Occasional travel (up to 25%) may be required to other Raytheon facilities and customer sites. The Senior RF Electrical Engineer will be a highly motivated "self-starter" who will apply strong electrical engineering and RF/microwave skills to implement innovative solutions to challenging design criteria. This Engineer will be involved in product development from beginning to end, including documentation, fabrication, assembly, and test/delivery of military products. This position requires strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to maintain positive relationships and satisfaction with Programs leadership (Engineering and Program Management). Qualifications You Must Have * Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
* (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
* RF circuit design experience using Ansys HFSS or Cadence Clarity EM modeling software;
* RF system simulation and design experience using software packages, such as ADS, Genesys, and SystemVue;
* Experience designing and testing analog CCAs (Circuit Card Assemblies), including frequency conversion, automatic gain control, amplifier design, monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), and analog filter design;
* Experience with microwave testing techniques, including using spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers (VNAs) and performance network analyzers (PNAs);
* Schematic and circuit layout design experience using various CAD tools such as Allegro/APD+ (Advanced Package Designer Plus), KiCAD, Altium, or similar CAD layout design tools; and Qualifications We Prefer * Master of Science or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering;
* Strong background in printed circuit board (PCB)/printed wire board (PWB) development, documentation, fabrication, assembly, and test/delivery of military electronic products;
* Experience in electromagnetic simulation of passive RF components;
* Experience with FPGA and microcontroller module testing and programming;
* Experience with programming languages, such as C, C++, and Python and engineering computing platforms, such as MATLAB;
* Experience performance power and signal integrity analysis of circuit layouts (Analog, Digital, and RF); and
