Job description

Element Eagan is looking for a Laboratory Assistant that will support the microbiology, viral, and chemistry teams. This includes, making media, sterilizing glassware, and general supportive tasks in an ISO / GLP compliant laboratory setting.


  • Handles day to day repeatable needs of the lab to ensure efficient and clean operation
  • Log in of received samples into the computer system, cleans workspaces, washes / sterilizes glassware and lab equipment for reuse
  • Handles waste removal
  • Prepares reagents, orders supplies, and conducts media preparation

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 Years lab experience
  • Good time management and prioritization
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan daily work and arrange activities to meet deadlines
  • Follows instructions, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Basic understanding of lab equipment and ability to learn computer programs and manual systems quickly
