Summary of Position: Are you pursuing a career in the biology field? If so, becoming a lab assistant could be your opportunity to gain further knowledge and experience within this field.
Position Requirements: *Minimum qualifications include high school chemistry course, high school biology course, and demonstrated competence in math, viz. calculating concentrations, dilutions, and percentages
*Preferred qualifications include college level microbiology course, e.g. FSU BIOL 108, 218, 286, or 386
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: *Prepare microbiological media, stains, and test reagents
*Remove materials for microbiology laboratory exercises
*Clean microscopes and glassware
*Process and correctly dispose of laboratory waste
