Job Description :

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Microbiology Manager.

The manager of the microbiology department serves as a visible, engaged, and collaborative leader responsible for supporting a high-performing team. The manager helps to formulate plans, organizes resources, directs personnel and develops policies in the microbiology laboratory as directed by the medical director. The manager has twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week responsibility of the department and sections of the laboratory to ensure implementation of the medical/clinical programs. The manager needs to have the skills to communicate with transparency, professional and emotional intelligence while fostering a positive work environment and maintaining high performance and regulatory standards. This manager will be working with a highly engaged team that is process driven and patient care focused.

Job requirements:

A. Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Clinical Laboratory Scientist or related area of specialty;
B. Licenses and/or Certifications Required:
MT(ASCP), CLS(ASCP, or MT(AMT)
C. Related Work Experience:
5 years of Laboratory experience

2 to 5 years of management experience preferred

5 to 10 years of microbiology experience preferred
