The Micro-Trenching Technician I is an entry-level role that supports micro-trenching operations under direct supervision. This position assists with site setup, equipment staging, traffic control, and job site cleanup while learning ALLO's safety standards, quality expectations, and operating procedures. The Technician I plays a key role in maintaining an organized and safe work environment while developing foundational skills in micro-trenching operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with setup, cleanup, and traffic control at job sites

  • Support trenching, hydro-vac, structure placement, and material handling operations

  • Learn and adhere to company safety and construction procedures

  • Load and unload tools and materials daily

  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite

  • Other duties as business needs arise

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • 0-1 year construction or utility experience preferred

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

  • Willingness to learn trenching and fiber installation techniques

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Ability to follow direction and communicate with team members

  • Ability to lift up to 80lbs and perform outdoor physical labor

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Raise objects up to 25 lbs.

  • Raise objects up to 50 lbs.

  • Remain upright on feet for extended periods

  • Ability to crouch and crawl

  • Move on foot up to 5 miles per day

  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stand

  • Ability to carry tools and equipment

  • Ability to operate hand tools and equipment

  • Ability to work in outdoors

  • Ability to work in extreme weather

  • Ability to pass a DOT Physical/Certification
