Main Duties & Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that inspection, testing, andcalibration processes are established, implemented, and maintained inaccordance with company and customer quality requirements and reporting on theperformance of these processes. The Quality Manager needs to be familiar withestablishing and running inspection processes, such as dimensional inspectionand micro-examination, as well as mechanical testing, such as Shear, Tensileand Fatigue testing.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the standards, methods, and processes for inspecting and testing productare properly documented and implemented.
Ensure the calibration and maintenance processes for measuring and testingequipment integrity are properly documented and implemented.
Oversee the quality department training program.
Ensure proper inspection and testing of all products.
Ensure Nonconforming product is properly documented.
Able to travel occasionally in support of company quality needs.
Supervise and schedule quality department personnel as well as manage, train,develop, and motivate them to achieve the overall quality goals and objectives.
Support AS9100 management system and audit activities.
Support Nadcap audit activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Equipment/Process Responsibilities: Ensures work area, property, tools,machines, equipment, measuring instruments, or chemical reagents used toperform inspections and tests are properly cleaned and maintained daily.
Safety Responsibilities: Adherence to, and enforcement of, Company safetyrules is required. Protective equipment and clothing shall be worn asappropriate to the task at hand and per the dress code policy and safety rules.
Initiative and Ingenuity: Requires initiative in solving problemsassociated with the set-up and testing of laboratory equipment and someingenuity in adapting equipment, instruments, etc. to complete tests. Makessuggestions for improving the efficiency of workflow or equipment operation.Takes on or reports for additional work as current tasks are completed.Performs other work-related tasks as deemed necessary by Company needs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Environmental Surroundings: Work is in a machine shop laboratory environmentwhere noise, temperature fluctuations, the repetitive nature of the job, etc.are less desirable than in a typical office environment.
Unavoidable Hazards: Possible hazards related to cuts, bruises, finger and handinjuries, bums, chemical reactions and muscle strains. Exposure to movingmechanical parts, metalworking fluids, chemicals, heating elements and airborneparticles. Protective equipment and clothing appropriate to the task at hand isrequired.
This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the Tolleson, AZ location.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of inspection and testing management experience inthe aerospace industry. Must have application knowledge ofmilitary/aerospace standards and world class quality specifications.
Demonstrated ability to read and write English of a level required in Companyshop documents and computer software entry and processing requirements as wellas technical manuals and specification requirements. Must be capable ofapplying mathematical operations using fractions, decimals, algebra, andgeometry as required by essential job duties.
Physical: Able to lift up to 25 pounds. Required to adjust requisite equipmentto set-up specifications. Hand and finger manipulation in turningtools/valves/handles or operating knobs/cranks/buttons etc. as well as usingprecision measuring instruments. Able to reach, bend and stretch. Most jobassignments require continuous standing and/or sitting for periods exceeding 15minutes at a time.
